The Robbie Vincent soul and funk show started on Sunday nights after Sounds of Jazz returned to Radio 2. Simon Bates presented the Top 40 during 1984

At the beginning of 1987, the Stereo Sequence with Johnny Walker took over Saturdays from 14:00-19:30, with Saturday Live becoming Sunday Live on Sundays from 14:30-15:30. A repeat of the Documentary at 21:00 on Thursdays was also introduced
