Digital One has opened new transmitters at Basingstoke (1 kW), Dundry East (2 kW, Bristol), Mapperley Ridge (1 kW, Nottingham) and Houghton on the Hill (1.2 kW, Leicestershire). Further transmitters at Colchester Depot, Rye Hill (Harlow), Brookmans Perk (Herts), Copt Oak (Leicestershre), Christchurch (Newport), Mansfield, Beecroft Hill (Leeds) and Morley (West Yorks) have been announced. GWR has launched a new digital radio station. Chill broadcasts 'chill-out' music, with a mixture of soft rock, soft dance, soft R&B and smooth jazz from the 90s, 00s and today. It is carried on the Bristol and Bath, Bournemouth, Cambridge, Cornwall, Coventry, Essex, Exeter and Torbay, Plymouth, Thames Valley and Wiltshire multiplexes.
